Accommodations

Booking.com is the first place I look for deals on places to stay. I often find they have the best selection as well as the best prices. You’ll see home rentals, B & Bs, and lots of other options besides traditional hotels.

It’s the #1 booking platform for accommodations around the world. There are no booking fees, and their content can be viewed in 40 languages.

TripAdvisor is another great place to look for lodging. One of the world’s largest travel sites, it has 795 million reviews to help you decide where to stay.

If you’re looking for a less expensive stay, try HostelWorld. I’ve stayed in some very nice hostels around the world, and they are frequented by older travelers as well as young ones.

Hostels are an especially good option in large cities where hotels prices are high. HostelWorld also offers bookings for budget hotels.

Transportation

Car Rentals

I recommend Discover Cars, an award-winning car rental comparison website on which customers can find, compare, and rent cars around the world.

If you’re looking for a way to rent a premium car at a budget price, you might want to try GetRentacar.com. On this online marketplace, users rent cars from both national rental companies and local owners at competitive prices.

A unique bidding system means discounts up to 50%. It operates globally in over 100 countries with customer support in 21 languages.

Bike and Motorcycle Rentals

Bikes Booking.com is a booking service for motorcycles, scooters, quads and bicycles around the world. Reduce your carbon footprint and enjoy the freedom!

Airline, train, and bus tickets

Kiwi.com is a worldwide booking service for flight, train, and bus tickets. Kiwi’s unique algorithm means it can create combinations of flight, train, and bus tickets and offer them in a single itinerary. It has a section for last-minute flights, too.

Omio allows you to compare trains, buses and flights in Europe and book tickets with one search. It even includes ferries!

FlixBus US serves a large number of intercity routes across the United States, including popular lines such as Miami to Orlando.

Attractions

Find incredible travel experiences wherever you’re headed with GetYourGuide. Skip-the-line tickets to iconic attractions, walking tours led by local experts, food tours, cooking classes, bucket list experiences and more help you explore the world. Check GetYourGuide Deals for sales.

Viator offers more than 300,000 experiences in 200 countries, including wine tastings, walking tours, cooking classes, tickets for popular landmarks, bus tours and day trips.

Use Tripadvisor to book experiences, reserve tables at delicious restaurants, and discover great places nearby. See the “Things to Do” tab on the main menu.

WeGoTrip is a service for self-guided audio tours with attraction tickets, featuring AI-powered tours personalized to traveler’s preferences.
